The students at Medway committee is a collaboration between Kent and Greenwich students. Its purpose is to represent the voice of all students who study at the Medway campus as well as to feedback key issues that affect student experiences to both Universities and Students’ Unions.
They help implement ideas submitted through changeit as well as attend university meetings to make sure that students are heard.
Who are SAM?
Students At Medway has a President for Kent, and a President for Greenwich, so you will be dealing with someone who understands your University, and also your campus experience.
SAM committee profiles. can you leave a space blank for me to be able to add pictures with their roles and emails?
SAM’s top priorities this year are:
1. Creation of a nap space in the drill hall library (meeting with library manager on the 7th February to discuss)
2. Focus on campaigns around students’ mental health as well as looking at the services open to students on the Medway campus
3. Increase the visibility and impact of Change It and gather student feedback in creative and innovative ways to inform campaigns
4. To do more outreach work with students and raise awareness of who and what SAM is. Looking to be more active in their communications. Plan to start scheduling comms messages to send out in every meeting
5. Inclusivity week
