Ethics & Environment

GK Unions are committed to reducing its impact on the environment.

We are working to reduce our environmental impact by reducing paper wastage, encouraging re-use and recycling, encouraging sustainable transport.

We use recycled paper in our printers and have taken steps to reduce paper use by printing and copying duplex by default and by using electronic mail where possible to reduce printing requirements.

GK Unions Recycling Collection Point

We have a collection point at the Reception in the Pilkington Building for:

  • Printer cartridges
  • Stamps
  • Batteries
  • Mobile phones.

We now recycle envelopes for internal mail and have made note pads out of non-confidential paper that has been printed on one side, so we can re-use.
