Medway St john Ambulance Student Volunteering is a first aid society with links to the St. John Ambulance charity, that meets every other Wednesday in the mezzanine upstairs in the Deepend (student Hub) at 18:30 – 20:00.
Each week we provide first aid teaching sessions. Fun bitesize sessions with lots of practical to teach you everything to how to care with someone having an asthma attack to fallen of a motorbike. This society is for anyone interested in learning first aid and having fun.
If you are a student HCP or are on another health-related course, please come along as it offers great opportunities for your CPD. There is also the possibility for you to help teach some sessions, if you have a specialist area of knowledge, or just a general interest.
As the society works closely with St John Ambulance, we also offer our members the chance to become St John Ambulance trained volunteers. This means that our members receive free training in contemporary first aid techniques - and have the chance to go out on public events to provide medical cover; such as festivals, concerts, marathons, bike rides and more!
The Society fee is £5.00 if you are a student of Kent, Greenwich and Canterbury Christ Church. Please follow us on Facebook for up-to-date events and training schedules. If you have any questions contact us at email@example.com ,
