Have you thought about what will happen after graduation? Summer is creeping ever closer, and once the graduation caps have fallen, you will need to start thinking about what comes next.

The prospect of getting that first job after university can be daunting, but if you have an idea of what to expect, that can make it a little easier.

Most major companies receive hundreds and hundreds of applicants, and so they will use psychometric tests in order to narrow the final selection down, and to see how a potential applicant could fit into the existing team.

A psychometric test is designed to measure your skills, aptitude and personality. Employers use them as it allows them to be unbiased in choosing candidates. There are no right or wrong answers, all they require is your honesty to assess what kind of person you are.

The majority of psychometric tests are carried out online, which you can do from the comfort of your own home. Some employers might like you to attend a session at their site, and the test might be on paper.

However, rather than throwing yourself right into the deep end when you begin the job hunt, there is a Graduates First system where you can practise psychometric tests. This will allow you to prepare for the recruitment process, so that you will feel more comfortable when it comes to the real thing.

If you feel more comfortable, you will feel more confident, and you will be able to show a potential employer the amazing skills you have, your positive aptitude, and fantastic personality.

The Graduates First system also has a number of new features, including a video interview system and online games.
