Futsal 1st, by President and Team Medway Executive Fraizer Parkinson

Futsal won 20-2 this weekend!

Football 1st, by Vice President Waza Mutambirwa

Team Medway Fc came up against queen Mary university.

Medway started off well and with confidence following their last game which ended 8-0 and they came straight out the blocks and went one nil up early on with a goal coming from Dennis Oppong. Medway continued playing with swagger and it was too long until we made it 2-0 with Smith Tiesse scoring with a neat finish. Medway went into the break cruising 2-0 up and after the interval they seemed to become too complacent which made their lead slip and queen Mary then pulled it back to 2-2. Medway then regained composure and Dennis headed home from a corner to make it 3-2. Shortly afterwards the game was brought back to 3-3 and with 15 mins left the game just completely changed. Medway made 2 defensive errors and ended up losing 5-3

Goal scorers: Dennis Oppong (2), Smith Tiesse

Football 2nd, by Captain Sam Wood

Football 2nds lost 4-0 today, terrible performance but had 5 players drop out due to illness and injury so was a very make shift team thrown together last minute. Need all our players back asap and bounce back from this result.

Volleyball, by Vice Captain Awad Chisty

Team Medway Volleyball lost 3-2 against one of the best team in the tournament. Even though we lost, it was one of the best games we have played so far. Everyone played really well, but the players of the match goes to Amir for his outstanding performance.

Player of the Match: Amir Haidarpour

Basketball 1st, by Captain Jono Hayward

1sts take a tough 82-42 loss to team Kent on Wednesday. Was getting the looks we wanted but nothing seemed to drop. We struggled against their full court press which has highlighted an area of improvement for us to focus on in practice. Hoping to bounce back next week against Queen Mary

Basketball 2nd, by Coach Kevin Woodford

Basketball 2nd's won 75-28. The guys played really well and implemented a lot of things practiced in training.

Player of the match - Louis edridge man of the match with 15 points

Rugby 1st, by Captain Perry Cook

A terrific win on the road for Spartans today, delayed journey, delayed warm up, delayed kickoff meant we expected a poor start but Sagar Gurung stood up & bagged a try...0-5. A soft try then conceded 7-5. The pack used red ball well & peerless Toby Mann scored, 7-10...kings kept playing well & half time 7-10. More good red ball & Patrick Holliday sniped from 9 with George Ashby adding the extras 7-17. The best spell of the game led to Billy Hadj receiving a brilliant pass from pat & George kicked with accuracy 7-26.
Finally a dominant spartans pack allowed Patrick to score a terrific try to close out a great team effort one on the bench to offer fresh legs this was a team effort the whole squad should be really proud. Season back on track

Players of the match: Toby Mann & Thibault Yharrassary

Netball 1st, by President Emily Clarke

Firsts lost their game against Royal Vets 1st 52-13. Although this result is disappointing it wasn't a surprise as Royal vets are top of the division and we have recently lost one of our key shooters. Regardless of this fact we gave them a good fight and there were moments of excellent netball play where our extra training was shown to pay off. With only one more match until the end of the season all of the girls are excited at the prospect of replaying the teams after Christmas and hopefully getting some payback on those that have beaten us!

Players of the match - Hanna and Claudia

1 more week of BUCS and all to play for!
