KSSCRC are looking for volunteers with an open mind, a desire to help others and a few spare hours per week. Those interested in psychology or criminology might find this valuable.
KSSCRC a community rehabilitation company delivering a range of rehabilitation services to people who have been sentenced by a court to either custody of community supervision and who are classed as low to medium risk.
Their goal is to reduce reoffending and in so doing, improve people's lives - those of potential victims of crime as well as the perpetrators of them. We do this specifically by steering people away from crime.
Working as a volunteer can provide a valuable insight into the work of probation staff, and the people with whom we work. No formal qualifications are needed and there are a variety of roles as volunteer mentors and probation volunteers.
KSSCRC offer 3 days of training prior to starting, these are run every 4 times a year in Ashford. Once trained you can attend any in house training offered.
