If you are in Medway and wanted to take part in  volunteer opportunities to help out the community, Medway Council are desperately looking for volunteers to help collect and deliver prescriptions for vulnerable people in Medway.

The current crisis is having a big impact on everyone, but especially high risk people who are socially isolating and unable to go and get their medicine.

The council are looking for volunteers to simply collect prescription (you will be emailed/contacted beforehand) and deliver to the residents house. The safe guarding aspect is to leave medicine on doorstep, knock on the door and walk backwards to ensure there is a 2 metre distance.

The current demand is quite low but may increase as the weeks go on.

If you are interested and want to know more, please email mark@gkunions.co.uk with name, mobile number and rough availability. Your data will only be shared with the relevant people will only be contacted regarding this volunteer opportunity. Please only register interest if you are not in the high risk category (https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/advice-for-people-at-high-risk/).
